On 27th September 2012, Consider This was thrilled to attend Big Dance 2012 Thank you Party. The event saw many dance professionals, enthusiasts, partners and special guests gather at City Hall, London to mark the end of the UK’s biggest celebration of dance.
Big Dance was founded in 2006 and has since had more than 2 million people participate in the programme. This summer presented the chance for dancers of all styles to join thousands of events taking place nationwide, part of London 2012 Cultural Olympiad event.
The Big Dance 2012 Thank You Party was a great opportunity for Consider This to speak to many dance professionals including Jonathon Singleton (Dance UK & Dance South East), Eleanor Williams (Dance UK), Richard Parr (Big Dance 2012 Organisor) and Catherine Willmore (Arts Council). The party was very much a celebration for us as it was for Big Dance. We supported the project by providing a number of marketing services. We added an online shop to the Big Dance’s support structure for its hub's to purchase all the marketing material needed to promote their events, including banners, brochures, flyers and clothing, in addition to producing it all and managing the distribution.
Director of Consider This Michael Pearce says, “It is real privilege to be involved in such a huge, successful project which brings everyone with a passion for dance together across the UK. We can not wait for Big Dance 2014, and now look forward to working with Richard, once again, with Foundation for Community Dance. ”
