We are excited to announce that we will be presenting two seminars at the second International Dance Teacher Conference (IDTC) on 7th August 2013 at The Royal Ballet School.
Our Managing Director, Paul Taylor, and PR and Marketing Coordinator, Sophia Tremenheere, will each present a seminar aimed at dance schools looking to build their brand awareness and online visibility.
The IDTC is a three-day event starting on 5th August and features many workshops and seminars for dance teachers that are looking to enhance their dance and business skills. Our MD, Paul, will be presenting a seminar on the importance of a quality website while Sophia will be giving a presentation on social media.
Both Paul and Sophia have extensive experience in Arts Marketing.

In this digital age, making sure you know the ins and outs of online marketing has never been so vital, and so learning about social media and how to produce a well thought out, quality website are two important skills to have.
Many dance schools struggle to make an impact because of competition and/or lack of funding or resources, but without an online marketing strategy you can find yourselves further behind. With our vast knowledge of the arts and marketing, dance teachers will learn how to build brand awareness for their school.
As well as learning about how to market their school, teachers will have the opportunity to attend a variety of dance workshops, seminars and Q&A’s with some of the most prestigious members of the dance community.
Some exciting events to look out for include a Q&A with celebrated choreographer Matthew Bourne, Pointes to Profit seminar with Anne Walker and a masterclass session with Dame Monica Mason.
The cost of the three-day event is £399, which includes entry to any of the workshops and seminars you want to attend, as well as evening entertainment. IDS is also offering a £100 IDS voucher to any school that books four places for its teachers.
If you are unable to find suitable accommodation in London for the conference, IDS is offering student accommodation in Covent Garden, a few minutes’ walk away from the school, for £65 per person per night.
This should be a great event, and we are very much looking forward to meeting everyone and presenting our seminars. If you are a dance teacher and would like to know more about the conference, click here.
