On 3rd December 2012 Consider This UK went along to the home of Billy Elliot the Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London for the announcement of this year’s Stagecoach Inspiration Awards winners.
Taking place annually since 2009, the awards recognise and reward young people facing difficulties such as adversity and who have succeeded to be great role models for their peers.
They are supported by InterAct, part of Stagecoach Charitable Trust, who works with young people with special needs to develop their confidence in singing, dancing and acting.
All finalists, along with their parents or guardians and Stagecoach Principals, were invited to attend the presentation and afterwards to watch Billy Elliot the Musical on stage.
Others from the arts and entertainment who supported the Awards included The Stage, RADA, Spotlight, Children's Burns Trust, Daily Express, and Jonathan (Antoine) and Charlotte (Jaconelli), to name but just a few. It was such a wonderful day to hear about the achievements of so many incredible young people. Congratulations to all the children involved, you were all winners!
